Glass Ceramic Laboratory Protection Plate

In the laboratory, solutions are often heated. This step can be carried out using different techniques, e.g. in a water or sand bath, with a heating hood or classically using a Bunsen burner. If the Bunsen burner is used as the heat source, it is recommended to use a tripod or square foot and a corresponding glass ceramic plate. The vessel to be heated is placed on the glass ceramic plate with the Bunsen burner underneath. Contamination of the glass ceramic plate can be removed with the cleaning scraper.

Glass Ceramic Laboratory Protection Plate

  • Manufactured from glass ceramic
  • Due to low thermal expansion stresses, well suited to heating glassware with a Bunsen burner
  • Protects cooking glasses from direct flame
